Full Profile: The most complete, the most wholesome T20 & ODI batsman of all time. And it is hardly surprising because I have lasted the longest too, now owner of practically a record of having dealt the highest score in UAE B Division of 175 twice and by a fair margin. The batting style has evolved too. Have may not quite dazzle as did in the nineties, but the runs, the average, the strike-rate have hardly suffered as a result of this more calculated, practically risk-free approach to batting. It may not appeal to the thrill-seeking senses, but the amount of skill, the knowledge of my own game and that of the bowlers’, the intuitive feel of the field, is incredible. And to imagine that wasn't a natural opener. |
